General Membership
A General Member is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic meeting the qualifications for membership and desiring to be associated with its activities and objectives. General members can vote in ACA elections and hold office.
Governor’s Advisory Cabinet (GAC)
A GAC Member is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic meeting the qualifications for General membership who elect to pay double the general member dues to receive enhanced privileges. GAC members can vote in ACA elections and hold office.
New Practitioner
A New Practitioner Member is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic meeting the qualifications for General membership who is within his/her second to fourth year post graduation and is eligible for a dues discount. The discount is based on year of graduation, referred to as NP2, NP3, NP4, and NP5. New Practitioner members can vote in ACA elections and hold elected office.
Family Membership
A Family Member is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic meeting the qualifications for General membership who receives a discounted membership rate because he/she is an immediate family member of a General member and practices in the same office. Family members can vote in ACA elections, but cannot hold elected office.
Sustaining Membership
A Sustaining Member is a Doctor of Chiropractic who is semi-retired and working less than twenty hours per week, who has chosen to work part time, or practices in the Department of Defense military treatment facilities of Department of Veteran’s Affairs facilities. Sustaining members may also be a chiropractic college faculty member or administrator who is employed eight or more hours per week at a chiropractic college campus. Sustaining members are not eligible to vote in ACA elections or hold elected office.
International Membership
An International Member is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic practicing outside of the United States and its possessions. International members are not eligible to vote in ACA elections or hold elected office.
